Wrap around care at Oare Primary School.
We are delighted to be able to offer all families wrap around care from 8am until 5.15pm every day. Your child will be cared for and enjoy a wide range of fun activities with their school friends. Cuckoo Club is run by Mrs Amanda Kapoor, with help from Mrs Becky Thompson. They have both completed a full disclosure and barring check.
Sessions should be booked and paid for termly in advance on Parent Pay; payment can be made by childcare vouchers.
Breakfast Cuckoo Club – from 8.00am every morning
Children can be dropped off at school any time from 8:00am. They’ll enjoy activities and breakfast of toast or cereal before school starts.
After School Cuckoo Club – every day, until 5.15pm
There will be time to do homework and a healthy snack. If you wish to provide a full packed tea for your child, please do so.
Additionally, our activities, over each month will cover a wide range of interests including arts and craft, sports, outdoor play, film reviews, Lego, board game and ICT. Our main aim is for everyone to have fun, but along the way children will be learning new skills and developing friendships.
Children attending after school clubs until 4.15pm will be able to join Cuckoo Club until picked up/the end of the session at 5.15pm.

We are very pleased to be supporting families by providing wrap around care. However, no funding is available to set up and run the club, so all costs must be covered by payments from parents. Please spread the word about Cuckoo Club and help us continue to be able to provide this provision for our families.
After School Clubs and Activities
Please note updated information regarding after school clubs and activities will be sent out at the beginning of Term 1, September 2020.
We run a rich and varied programme of clubs. Some are run by staff, others are run by parent volunteers and we also have a number of qualified coaches who run some of our sports clubs. A letter with a sign-up form is sent out at the very end or beginning of each term. It is a great way for children to try out different things and to work with children from different age groups. We aim to keep the cost of the clubs to a minimum and many are free. Some external club providers will liaise directly with parents for payment.
- After school clubs generally run from 3.15pm at the end of school for 1 hour.
- Lunchtime clubs run from 12.30 – 1pm.
A register is taken at the start of each club. Please ensure that you inform us by email if your child has to miss a club for any reason. Parents should wait outside the school’s main entrance for children to be dismissed to them at the end of their club.
EYFS children are given the opportunity to join after school clubs in the Summer Term.
Some clubs are run by parents. If you interested in sharing your skills in this way, please speak to the school office. The school is very grateful for the way that staff and volunteers give their time to support our exciting range of clubs in this way.
