Extra Curricular And Enrichment Activities

Extra – curricular clubs at Oare Primary School

We offer a wide range of clubs at our school that are run by teachers and outside agencies.

Sport is very important in our school.  Examples of clubs are football, tennis, tag rugby, athletics, martial arts and dance, along with inclusive and general games.

Arts clubs are very popular and varied, catering for different age groups and times of year.

Many musical activities are on offer: strings, wind, and piano, to name a few. Our school choir plays a prominent part in our Christmas and end of year celebrations.

We are always seeking to improve and enhance our provision. Club timetables are renewed six times a year.  Please contact the school office for further information.

Residential Trips

At Oare Primary School, we believe that residential trips provide an opportunity to learn beyond the classroom.  All activities enable children to further develop their resilience, communication and problem solving skills, building upon skills taught and developed in the school.  Trips foster independence and self-confidence and provide children with a sense of achievement.

At Oare, Year 5 and Year 6 spend time away.

We visit the UK Sailing Association (UKSA) in Cowes on the Isle of Wight.  We take part in the following activities: sailing, paddle boarding, raft building, windsurfing and other water based activities.
