Early Years

Our philosophy is to value every child as a unique individual, who enjoys learning and thinking for him or herself. Our aim within the Early Years Foundation Stage is to provide a happy, safe and stimulating environment, which allows all children to feel secure and valued and therefore ready and eager to learn. We provide a supportive and secure environment in which every child can flourish and learn at their own pace and in their own individual way. Our role is to stimulate and encourage their development and enjoyment of learning through a variety of different activities, both adult directed and child initiated in secure indoor and outdoor situations.

We believe the relationships which the children develop in the Early Years, with each other and with our staff, are central to their happiness and will lay the best possible foundation for them to become independent lifelong learners.

Our children benefit from a well-resourced, spacious indoor and outdoor space, supported by an experienced and dedicated group of staff who ensure that all pupils thrive and grow, setting firm foundations for happy and successful learners.

Thinking of joining Oare CE Primary School?

We run ‘stay and play’ sessions throughout the autumn term for parents who are considering enrolling their child at our school so they can see first-hand what we have to offer. This allows your child to come and see how lovely our school really is! This also allows prospective parents to have a tour of the school and to see our fabulous learners in action!

Contact Mrs Purnell in the school office to arrange your visit [email protected] 01672 562256. We look forward to showing you what makes OPS so very special.
